Our Eye Doctors

Dr. Bjork received his undergraduate degree in Vision Science from Ferris State University. He earned his Doctoral degree from the Michigan College of Optometry, where he graduated first in his class. He then elected to complete an additional year of Residency training in Ocular Disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute.

In addition to his work at Middletown and Settlers Walk EyeCare, Dr. Bjork has continued to work as an optometric consultant at the Cincinnati Eye Institute in the Retina Clinic. He also holds clinical privileges at the Atrium Medical Center.

Dr. Bjork is a volunteer presenter of the Real Eyes program at local elementary schools. This program helps explain the importance of eye health to children. He has also presented educational programs about eye care for diabetic patients in Middletown and Springboro. “Educating the public about the importance of good eye health is an important part of my role as an eye doctor. When patients understand the reasons for treatment or follow-up visits, they tend to be much more compliant. This results in improved outcomes and prevention of vision loss.”

Dr. Bjork is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. He has achieved Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the Cincinnati Optometric Association.

 Dr. Frasco earned her Doctoral degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she graduated first in her class. She concurrently completed a Masters of Science degree in Vision Science, through her study of the eye movements of children with learning problems. She then elected to complete an additional year of Residency training in Pediatric Optometry at the University of Houston in Texas.

Dr. Frasco was one of the first local optometrists to begin examining babies under the InfantSEE program in 2005. “I feel that the opportunity to assess babies between six and twelve months of age is so invaluable that I volunteer my time for every InfantSEE examination. I am able to identify eye problems and children at risk for ‘lazy eye’ before their vision is affected.”

In addition to her work with Settlers Walk and Middletown EyeCare, Dr. Frasco also works with Dayton pediatric ophthalmologist, Richard Liston, MD. Dr. Frasco serves as an externship preceptor for The Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Dr. Frasco is certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. She has achieved Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. She is a volunteer presenter of the Real Eyes educational program at local elementary schools. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. 

Dr. Landrum received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University. During his optometric education Dr. Landrum also received a Master’s degree in Vision Science for his work on the eye’s ability to focus on various print sizes while reading. He then elected to complete an additional year of residency training in Primary Care/Ocular Disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Landrum has won several clinical excellence awards including: the Gas Permeable Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award for outstanding performance in the clinical environment of GP contact lens fitting; the Interstate Optical Nexus Award; and The James Bing Memorial Award in recognition of research accomplishments in Vision Science.

He has also presented educational programs about eye care for diabetic and glaucoma patients at the Dayton VAMC. “Taking proper care of our eyes is one of the most important things that we can do for our bodies. Routine eye examinations can detect medical or eye problems that are without symptoms. Early detection of these problems can lead to better overall health, maintained good vision and a good quality of life.”
